The Medicines:

1. Heart, Spirit & Body plants

In a ceremony, we will work with a range of plants that fall into three categories, heart, body and spirit. The heart medicines are derived from flowers and trees that originate from Asia, Africa and North America. The body plants are flower medicines from plants largely found also in Asia. Spirit plants come from fungi found in North and South America.

Each person working within this blended tradition has an opportunity to work with a range of plants that work on reconnecting the individual with the energy of the heart, the body and spirit. Each person will meet with the facilitator, Ron Nikel, to determine the plant or combination of plants they will take during ceremony that will meet each individuals needs and intentions.

The Ceremony

The ceremony is conducted in a safe container with Ron Nikel as the facilitator and two trained assistants to hold space and support the group of individuals working with the plants. Each individual experience is an inward experience with the eyes covered to encourage each person to go inward and follow the wisdom of the plant. Each person is encouraged to stay down and work with all emotions and experiences that arise during the ceremony. This is facilitated by encouraging each individual to use mindfulness techniques to be aware and curious and to turn toward or surrender to what arises during the entire journey experience. Throughout the evening a combination of sound healing from Paul Jerreau and sacred ceremony music will be used to assist the journeyer navigate the plant medicine experiences.

After the ceremony ends each person will spend the rest of the evening sleeping at the ceremony location and will wake up to a refreshing breakfast. After breakfast an integration circle is used to help the individual and group start the process of integrating the experience in a supportive and safe space.

2. Kambo

Kambo is the venom from the back legs of Amazonian Tree Frog PhylloMedusa Bicolor. The frogs are unharmed so it’s vegan friendly! This frog and his venom are safe and non toxic to humans and the detox that can be achieved can not be compared to anything else. Science has been trying to synthesize these peptides! Kambo is a shamanic traditional healing ritual and ceremony from the Amazon rainforest. Kambo is a spirit of the forest and is deeply respected so everything about gathering it is done with respect and reverence. A medicine woman (Aria Inanna) performs the ceremony. Indigenous people have used Kambo for centuries to heal and cleanse the body by strengthening its natural defenses and clearing the lymphatic system. Additionally, it can be beneficial in dealing with depression and anxiety and to ward off bad luck. It is also believed to increase stamina. Aria will want to spend time with each person to understand what issues they're dealing with, what's happening in their lives and what's going on emotionally. It will help her understand where each person is coming from so she can assist energetically throughout the ritual. She will also speak with each person prior to ceremony to review medical history.

The Ceremony

You will be held in a comfortable safe space and cared for. In a ceremony of two separate groups, the Kambo ceremony will begin with some prayer. Then each participant will drink 1 L of water. Subsequently, Aria will consult with each individual as to where on their bodies they feel called to unblock and then proceed to burn several superficial holes in the skin, a portal through which the medicine can access. It doesn’t “hurt” but feels like a little spark flying up from a firework! It’s quick! The burn is made with a smoldering piece of vine or incense stick. The area is small about 1/8 of an inch in diameter. The number of burns and where they are placed depends on what's going on with each person. Often the placement will correspond to chakras. The shoulder or the back of the arm is one of the most common areas. After the burn, Aria will gently rub off the area to expose the epidermidis below. She will then add Kambo, toxins extracted from the frog, into the superficial burns. The bioactive peptide crosses the bloodstream within seconds. The medicine comes on instantly lighting up your whole body! You feel hot and you heart rate increases and your body, ear, limbs and head pulsate and vibrate. This is when the frog is said to be scanning your body mind and spirit for toxins and impurities. You may feel as if a spirit guided source is moving through your body and systems cleaning you from the inside out. Moving through your organs, lymphatic system and nervous system. 

After about 15-25 minutes of this cleaning you will begin to feel very nauseous. And the purge will begin! Sometimes from both ends. But a purge feels different from being “sick” purge is when you are aware that you are releasing what no longer serves. Trauma, unprocessed emotions, toxins, energy etc.... this last another 15-25 minutes. After the dots of Kambo are removed, the burns are each dressed which helps them heal fast and stay infection free. Kambo is a tool that teaches us to surrender and relax into the uncomfortableness, to let go of what we are holding onto that's no longer serving us. Kambo is called the great revealer. It brings things to the surface, showing you what needs to be dealt with and changed.

Following the ceremony you will be invited to take a bit of a rest... settling back in to a cleaner body and life! You should be able to go back to your everyday activities within an hour.

3. Bufo (the God molecule)

Bufo alvarius toad is a 5-MeO-DMT psychoactive toad experience that is profoundly transforming. After one single use it was shown to produce the sustained enhancement and satisfaction with life, and easing of anxiety, depression and PTSD. It can feel like an experience of an ego death and being reborn. Many people report mystical experiences like seeing "God" (or whatever term you would feel comfortable replacing this term with) and then sensing a better understanding of their place and function in the cosmos as a result of this encounter. This medicine has often been referred to as the God molecule, whereas Ayahuasca is referred to as the Spirit molecule. Bufo is 5 times more powerful than Ayahuasca. People describe an experience of profound connection with the universe and all living beings and many feel like they've transcended time. This medicine is strong enough to take participants out of normal consciousness, into a state of temporary unconsciousness with ego death making room for therapeutic exploration of the subconscious or an encounter with the divine.

Each participant will consult with Aria Inanna prior to cermony and fill out a medical intake form to ensure safety. Kambo detox, yoga and breathwork are offere as preparations before Bufo in order to prepare mentally, emotionally and physically before entering this sacred journey space. 

Each participant will go into ceremony individually. You will feel safe and calm throughout the entire ceremony. You will be given instructions and set an intention and Aria will offer some ritual prayers. You will begin with a starter dose, then your 2nd dose will take you into journey space. You are then free to surrender fully to the medicine and let it be your guide. It will feel like falling into a dream. 

For about 5-7 minutes this is the dissolving of ego. You then may break through to source. This should be blissful and euphoric. You will be given space to flow freely and carefully observed. This lasts about 15-20 minutes and you will start to return to your body. Aria will gently and quietly prepare for you to return. She will allow for space to communicate when you feel called. She will then ask gently if they went deep enough. If you want to go deeper, she will prepare another dose and you will repeat the process. Shortly after ceremony participants tend to be totally clearheaded and 100% back to their previous state. 

Follwing ceremony, you will take the day to integrate your experience. You should take this time to journal, meditate, swim, waterfall hike and just be with yourself. An integration circle will be held the following morning. Integration is key for sustained healing.
